Members-Only Introduction

Your first step will be to log in using your personal AHCA user account. If you do not know your login, you can use the Forgot Username/Password utility of the website to recover either or both.

Once logged in, at the top of the right column, you'll notice the AHCA Member box. As an AHCA member, you have access to several features not available to the public.

  • My Profile
    • View your profile on the AHCA website.
    • Clicking Update your Profile brings you to the "Edit Your Details" page. On the various tabs:
      • Portrait - Add, Update or Remove a photo.
      • Contact Info- You can update your contact information here. It is not advisable to remove contact information, but you can set the visibility on several fields.:
        • "Only to logged-in users" = Members only visibility
        • "Visible on profile" = Publicly visible.
      • Additional - Anything extra you'd like to put in.
      • Listings- Change your visibility to the public. NOTE: if you make any of your contact details above "Only to logged-in users," then that information will not be visible to users looking you up on the following lists, and they may not have any way to get in touch with you.
        • "Mentor" - Change listing in the Mentor Directory
        • "Breeder Directory" - Change listing in the Breeder Directory
          • "AKC Breeder of Merit"
          • "Stud Service"
          • "Puppies Available"
          • "Adults Available"
      • Mailing Lists - Change your email format: text/html and manage your subscriptions.
      • Preferences - Update your password or change your website preferences.
  • Members-Only News Articles
    • Articles flagged for restricted visibility will be displayed on the front page and through the link on the "Member" sidebox.
  • Meeting Minutes
    • Access minutes from past meetings on the web!
  • Email Announcements
    • View previous email announcements send to the AHCA membership on the web
    • To mange which email announcements you receive, see the "Mailing Lists" tab while editing your profile.
  • Membership Directory
    • Contact directory for the AHCA, visible only by AHCA members.
  • Submit News
    • Create and submit an article for review. Articles can be anything from AHCA event reports to informative guides like 'Getting Started in Lure Coursing,' or 'Grooming Afghans 101.' Articles must be reviewed before publishing, but we welcome member contributions.
